Meet our Scholarship Recipients

Our sponsorships allow hardworking, resilient, and studious girls to keep the aspirational dream of a better future for themselves, their family, and their community. Continued studies make the dream accessible and unlock their full potential. Without funding, access to education is simply not possible and their strong potential is undermined by obligations no child should have to face.

  • Shaida

Born in Tanzania in 2014, Shaida lost her mother to cancer. That  same year, her father died on a motorbike accident while delivering food for work. Shaida’s grandmother became her guardian but she struggled to meet basic needs. To make things worse, their uncle and primary funder was later kidnapped and never found. Shaida’s grandmother struggled to clothe, feed, and school Shaida and her sibling. We are honored to grant this life-changing gift of a scholarship. With her education in place, a compassionate citizen of Zanzibar has agreed to Shaida’s adoption.
